It's never rejection, just re-direction

Have you ever been so sure that God has called you for something or created something so great within you, yet when you move forward to make things happen, all you hit is a dead end? Have you ever pursued a dream that you felt so sure about yet every corner you turned, there was a big “no” waiting to smack you in the face? Today, I’m here to tell you to stand your ground. Your journey is specific to you and there are specific connections for you. In fact, your journey is so specific that there can be no substitutions. This is why when you hear the word “no”, it simply means “not here and not now”. Your “yes” is just further down the road. It’s not rejection, just re-direction. Thomas Edison “failed” his way forward by coming to this realization –“I have not failed seven hundred times. I have not failed once. I have succeeded in proving that those seven hundred ways will not work. When I have eliminated all the ways that will not work, I will find the way that will work.”

Last week, I spoke about the importance of knowing who you are, the reality of realizing that you are in God as He is in you and most importantly, that nothing and no one can add or take away from who you already are. When you start to live in that truth and move from thinking or believing that you are perfection to knowing that you are perfection, the difference in your reality is like night and day. Not only does your outlook on life change, your approach to dealing with the details that make up your journey also changes. You become aware that there is no loss in the Universe, you begin to trust in your journey even if you may not understand how all the puzzle pieces fit together. You learn that surrendering to uncertainty is the most rewarding sacrifice you’ll ever make.

Another thing that you start to realize is that God does not deal in time. That is a limitation that we’ve created as human beings. There is only one time that the Universe is familiar with and that is the perfect time. Your journey is tailored for you, with each experience meant to mold and shape you. Your destination is certain, so focus on the journey instead. I’m going to leave you with one last piece of advice for those moments when you think you just can’t push any longer. John F. Kennedy once said “When written in Chinese, the word ‘crisis’ is composed of two characters. One represents danger. The other represents opportunity.” There are no mistakes in the Universe which means there are no mistakes in your life and in your journey. Seize every obstacle, every time you experience rejection as an opportunity to better yourself and to strengthen your journey and then know that you are actually being led in the right direction.
